Cordillera Huayhuash Circuit Gear List: Ultralight Peru Thru-Hiking Guide
My Cordillera Huayhuash Circuit gear list is one that I've thought about a lot. It has been a while since I set out on a long-distance hike with this many unknowns – probably since putting together my Hayduke Trail gear list.
I've never been to Peru, to the Andes, or anywhere so close to the Equator in the middle of the Southern Hemisphere's winter. Apparently, since the Huayhuash Circuit is so close to the Equator, the weather here is relatively stable in the winter, and it's the winter – not the summer – that's the primary season for activities in the mountains there.
